About Isla
My passion for guitar began with a love for rhythm, harmony, and storytelling through music. I completed a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance and have 9 years of teaching experience. I have worked with learners of different ages and styles, helping them build confidence and musical skill. Teaching guitar allows me to combine creativity with structured learning.
I enjoy helping students find their own musical voice. My teaching style balances technical discipline with creative freedom. I guide students step by step so they can grow with confidence. Every lesson supports both skill development and personal expression.
Outside teaching, I continue performing and exploring different guitar styles. These experiences help me bring variety and depth into my lessons. Watching students grow into confident guitarists is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students build strong technical skills while developing musical expression. I teach chord transitions, fingerstyle technique, strumming patterns, rhythm accuracy, scales, improvisation basics, tone control, and musical phrasing. Each concept is introduced step by step so students can learn without confusion. The focus is on combining technique with creativity for complete musical growth.
Students are guided based on their level and goals. Beginners focus on basic chords, simple rhythms, finger placement, and strumming control. Intermediate learners develop fingerstyle technique, chord fluency, rhythm precision, and expressive playing. Advanced students work on improvisation, solo performance, advanced fingerstyle pieces, and musical interpretation. Students preparing for performances receive structured practice support. Continuous feedback ensures steady improvement.
Learning guitar should feel enjoyable and expressive. My lessons create a relaxed environment where students can explore music freely while building discipline. As confidence grows, learners become more expressive and comfortable playing. My goal is to help students enjoy music while developing strong guitar skills.
