About Ophelia

I am a dedicated guitar tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and 9 years of teaching experience. My musical journey began with a deep curiosity for sound and expression, eventually leading me to explore various styles such as rock, classical, blues, and acoustic fingerstyle. Over the years, I’ve performed in bands, solo gigs, and studio sessions, gaining both stage experience and a strong understanding of diverse musical genres. Teaching guitar has become one of the most rewarding parts of my musical life. I take pride in helping students discover their potential, whether they’re picking up the instrument for the first time or returning after years away. My approach blends structure with creativity, aiming to build solid technique while encouraging personal expression and enjoyment. I place a strong emphasis on adapting lessons to each student’s needs, goals, and musical tastes. From teaching young beginners to coaching advanced players on songwriting or improvisation, I tailor my guidance to inspire growth at every level. I believe learning music should be enjoyable, flexible, and meaningful, and I work to make every lesson feel that way. Beyond teaching, I continually study and practice to improve my own skills as both a guitarist and educator. Music is a lifelong journey, and I love sharing that path with others—supporting each student as they find their rhythm, confidence, and musical identity.

We begin by mastering essential skills such as tuning, strumming patterns, and basic chord shapes. As you grow more confident, we explore more advanced topics like scales, fingerstyle technique, bar chords, and rhythm variation. Each session builds on the last, encouraging creativity and musical understanding as you develop your personal style.

In addition to hands-on playing, I incorporate music theory and ear training to help students gain a deeper grasp of how music works. Whether you’re interested in acoustic, electric, classical, or songwriting, the lessons are adaptable to your interests and goals. I also support students preparing for performances, exams, or recording sessions.

Most importantly, I aim to make every lesson inspiring. Guitar is not just about playing the right notes—it's about expression, enjoyment, and growth. My goal is to help you connect with the instrument and find your own voice through music.
