About Rick
The smell of fresh guitar strings always reminds me of my first real session. I earned a Bachelor of Songwriting from JMC Academy.
After 10 years of teaching, I have worked with 275 students to refine their playing. My goal is to build your technical foundation while we work on songwriting.
We focus on LEAD GUITAR and RHYTHM GUITAR to make you a complete musician. I observe your current skill level first. Then we create a plan that fits. Soon you will play with total confidence.

Why do your fingers feel stuck during complex scale runs? I start by evaluating your mechanics to fix common bottlenecks immediately. We assess your grasp of music theory and reading tabs before moving ahead. My approach involves a 9.0 rated method for internalizing strumming patterns and modes.
I focus on ear training to improve your overall musicality. We analyze your needs with a diagnostic skills check.
Then we refine your technique. It becomes simple. Learning guitar is a joy.
