About Andrew
Hi, I’m Andrew — a passionate musician and teacher with a Bachelor of Popular Music from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music (Griffith University) and over 20 years of professional experience. I specialize in guitar (acoustic, electric, and bass) but also teach synth, vocals, songwriting, music production and theory. My background in gigging, studio work and popular music means I can help you learn the styles you actually love — from current pop/rock hits to electronic music and everything in between.

I teach out of my home studio in Nerang.
I started studying music full time at 18 years old learning mostly from other musicians. I got into gigging, production and engineering, and then went to university to hone my skills and make connections.
I run lessons from my comfortable home studio in Nerang (Gold Coast), or I can come to your home — whatever suits you best. Lessons are fun, practical and tailored to your goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner, want to play your favourite songs, improve technique, write your own music, or work towards Rockschool / AMEB exams, I’ll create a personalised plan that keeps you motivated and progressing quickly. I hold a current Blue Card and love teaching - kids, teens and adults of all ages and levels!
