About Talia
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with a bachelor’s degree in music and over eight years of teaching experience. My passion for guitar started in my teenage years, and since then, I’ve developed a deep love for both playing and teaching. I enjoy helping students discover their own unique sound and guiding them through the exciting journey of learning this versatile instrument. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from absolute beginners to advanced players. I believe that every student has the potential to grow as a musician with the right guidance and encouragement. My teaching style is patient and adaptable, focusing on both technical skills and creative expression to foster a well-rounded musical foundation. In addition to teaching, I am an active performer and songwriter, which allows me to bring real-world experience and practical insights into my lessons. I understand the challenges musicians face and strive to provide a supportive environment where students feel inspired to practice, experiment, and improve. Continuously growing as both a musician and educator, I attend workshops and stay current with new teaching techniques and musical trends. My goal is to empower my students with the skills and confidence they need to enjoy playing guitar and to reach their personal musical goals, whether for fun, performance, or professional aspirations.

My guitar lessons are crafted to suit players at every level, from complete beginners to advanced musicians. Each session is tailored to the student’s goals, whether that’s mastering chords, improving fingerstyle technique, or developing improvisational skills. I focus on making learning both enjoyable and productive, combining theory with practical playing exercises to keep progress steady and engaging.
A significant part of the lessons is dedicated to building solid foundational skills, such as chord transitions, strumming patterns, and finger dexterity. We also explore different styles and genres, allowing students to discover their personal musical voice. Whether you’re interested in acoustic, electric, or classical guitar, the lessons adapt to your preferences and help you develop versatility.
Improvisation and creativity play a key role in my teaching approach. Students learn how to create their own melodies and solos, understand scales, and apply music theory in a hands-on way. This encourages artistic expression and confidence when playing with others or performing solo.
I strive to create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable experimenting and growing. Lessons progress at a pace that fits each individual, with plenty of encouragement and feedback.
