About Luke

Hi, I’m Luke — a dedicated guitarist and music educator with over 20 years of playing experience. Music has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’m passionate about sharing that with others. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong command of a wide range of styles, including jazz, blues and contemporary guitar which allows me to tailor lessons to each student’s interests and goals. Alongside practical skills, I place a strong emphasis on music theory and aural training, helping students build a deeper understanding of the music they play. I believe these elements are essential for confident, expressive musicianship, whether you’re just starting out or refining your craft. I’m currently completing my Bachelor of Music, further strengthening my knowledge and approach as both a performer and a teacher. I’m genuinely passionate, patient, and committed to helping students grow — not just technically, but creatively. Seeing students develop their own musical voice is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. When I’m not teaching or studying, you’ll usually find me at live music events, at the gym, or enjoying a game at a sports venue. Music is something I live and breathe, and it’s a privilege to be able to pass that on.
