About Burton
"Teaching exists because I still get excited when a student finally hits a clean barre chord. If you are just starting your journey, I want to show you that the fretboard is a friendly place.
My 4 years of experience have been spent helping 171 students find their voice on the strings. I remember when I was frustrated by chord transitions and reading sheet music, so I understand your current spot.
We work on tuning and maintenance so your instrument is always ready for a session. Electric technique and acoustic technique are both part of what I offer to hobbyists.
Power chords and ear training become much easier when you have someone to guide the process. I try to keep things relaxed and creative while we fix those tricky spots. It is a pleasure to help you turn those practice hours into real songs. Catch you at the next session."

"Barre chords usually feel like a wall that stops most players from moving forward. I will admit that I spent weeks just trying to get my index finger to lay flat across the neck. My Bachelor of Music Production from JMC Academy adds a layer of theory and structure to our time. We utilize ear training and power chords to build your confidence and keep your ears sharp.
Reading sheet music and mastering chord transitions are key parts of the work we do together. With a score of 7.0 for my teaching style, I keep the pace steady and manageable.
Everything we cover builds directly toward the songs you want to play. You will find yourself playing cleaner and faster before you even realize it. Better playing is waiting for you just around the corner."
