About Joan

I’m a guitar teacher with over 4 years of experience and an Associate Degree in Guitar Performance. I’ve had the joy of working in community-based programs, local gigs, and school enrichment clubs, sharing my love for music with learners of all ages. I especially love guiding first-time players through their very first chord, solo, and performance. Those moments of discovery and accomplishment are what make teaching so rewarding. My lesson approach is built around curiosity, connection, and consistent encouragement. I believe every student’s journey is unique, and I tailor lessons to spark excitement and confidence. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or getting ready for your first stage appearance, I’m here to support you. Together, we’ll make learning fun and meaningful. About the lesson

My teaching approach is all about making guitar lessons fun and approachable, especially for beginners. I use color-coded tabs and simple melodies to help students learn quickly without feeling overwhelmed.
