I have played for 18 years, and taught throughout my college years. Most of my students were adults, but I also have experience teaching kids. My psychology degree helped me grasp different learning approaches, therefore allowing me to better apply individualized teaching methods for my students.

Lessons are individualized due to students being at different levels and having different learning approaches. It is important to assess where the learner is in terms of skill and build from there. I believe a good teacher is not one who will teach just enough to keep students coming back for their money, but one who will set them up for success on their own. Lessons can be for a complete beginner to someone who has played for a while but is simply looking to broaden their skillset.
