About Mathilde
Hello! My name is Mathilde, I’m 20 years old and a second-year student at Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands), where I study International Business Administration. My programme is taught entirely in English, and I speak the language fluently. I was raised bilingual - half French and half Dutch - and I’m 100% fluent in both languages. Until the age of 15, I attended a Dutch secondary school, after which I switched to a French one. At the time, I spoke very little French and had to learn the language almost from scratch. Because of that experience, I understand very well where the challenges of learning French lie and how to help others overcome them. I look forward to helping you master this beautiful language!

My lessons are open to everyone - young or old, beginners or advanced learners. As a result, my students vary widely in age, and I love that diversity! Some need help preparing for their French exams, while others want to improve their pronunciation. Until the third year of secondary school, I attended a Dutch school, after which I transferred to a French one. At the time, I spoke almost no French and had to learn the language from scratch. Because of that experience, I know exactly where the difficulties lie - and I can explain them clearly. French has since become my second native language, alongside Dutch. I currently teach more than ten students and really enjoy helping each of them make progress. I’m also happy to assist with translating challenging or professional texts. The length and focus of each lesson can be fully tailored to your needs and preferences.
