About Sophia
I have one year of teaching experience at Harvard, earning two awards for excellence in teaching from the Harvard Bok Center for Teaching and Learning; I assisted students in planning, drafting, writing, and editing academic papers. I have also worked as a private writing tutor throughout my time in college and graduate school. I have a track record of successfully applying for competitive grants, like the U.S. Fulbright grant (which I won in 2022-2023) and others, and I will put my skills to use to help students apply for competitive grants and funding in the humanities and social sciences.

I work with students to help plan, draft, and edit academic writing, including history academic papers, college application essays, and grant applications. Depending on where you are in your writing process and what kind of help you need, I can help you brainstorm and outline your work, plan the writing process, get started on your writing, and/or edit a rough draft. You can bring me as little as a prompt and some ideas, or as much as a completed draft, and I will work with you to develop your work and get it where you need to be. I can help students at different levels, including high school, college, and graduate school) with academic writing (especially in history) and various kinds of college and grant application materials.
