About Jen
I am a dedicated and caring educator with a background in elementary education and psychology. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a K–8 teaching certification, and I have several years of experience working with students in the classroom. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and encouraged to do their best. In my classroom, I focus on creating a positive, respectful learning environment with clear expectations, patience, and encouragement. I am committed to helping each student grow academically and gain confidence in their abilities.

I let the students drive the lessons. Whatever homework they bring home, I can give a little lesson, then help them fully understand their homework. What sets me apart is remembering what it was like to be a kid who felt overwhelmed by schoolwork. It turned out, I just needed that one-on-one time. I am open to helping 3rd and 4th graders with reading, writing, spelling, grammar, and social studies.
