Hi! I have been a high school math teacher for the last five years. I love helping students further their mathematical knowledge and build confidence they can carry into the classroom!

About Madison
I hold a degree in pure mathematics and have five years of experience teaching and tutoring math. I’m a certified teacher in both Kentucky and Hawaii, holding active teaching licenses in each state. My experience includes teaching Common Core–aligned courses in the United States, as well as the Swedish National Program and the IB Diploma Programme in Sweden. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, from gifted students looking to advance and deepen their mathematical understanding to students who are below grade level and need targeted support.
This past year, I’ve focused on helping students build confidence and strengthen foundational skills, meeting them where they are and helping math feel more approachable. I believe confidence and understanding grow together, so I create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Whether a student is aiming to move ahead or catch up, my goal is to help them feel capable, supported, and successful in math.

I love meeting tutoring students exactly where they are in their learning. Everyone needs something a little different—maybe that’s more examples, helpful tips and tricks, direct instruction, or identifying and filling in knowledge gaps. I take the time to figure out what each student needs and adjust my approach so lessons feel supportive, effective, and manageable.
When it comes to challenging material, I find that breaking complicated topics into smaller, bite-sized pieces makes a big difference. This helps students build confidence step by step and makes advanced concepts feel much more approachable.
I bring several years of classroom experience teaching Algebra I and II, Geometry, Probability, Statistics, and Calculus. I’ve also worked with college students, tutoring Calculus I and II, which allows me to support learners at both the high school and college level with clarity and confidence.
