About Hyejin

안녕 (Hi) everyone! My name is Hyejin from South Korea. If you’re looking to learn Korean from scratch but don’t know where to start, I’m the one you’re looking for!

I spent my childhood living in the US for 5 years. Then came back and earned Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, with four years of experience teaching at kindergartens and primary schools in Korea.
Since I’ve taught young kids in Korea, I’m also great at teaching foreign learners who are at a similar Korean level, or those who want to get there!

They say the fastest way to learn a language is by having friends from that country. So, I’ll be your Korean friend, not just a teacher, and focus on making the lessons fun and stress-free. Let's pick up Korean naturally while having a good time!

About the lesson

I create customised study resources based on your selected topics :)

1. Do you have travel plans to Korea?
Depending on your level, we will focus on practical stuff. For example, asking direction and ordering food.

2. You learned Korean, but have you forgotten some and feel stuck?
Refresher lessons that rebuild basics, strengthen real‑life communication, and help you regain confidence in Korean.

3. Thinking of learning a new language and giving Korean a try?
We can start with simple 한글 Hangul basics and practice through easy reading and speaking practice.

This is just a rough outline I’ve put together, and of course, I can adjust it based on what works best for you!
My focus will always be on learner-centered activities and creating a fun atmosphere.

Perfect! I have had a few lessons with Hyejin so far and will be continuing. I've made more progress in a couple of weeks than I managed on my own in a few years. Hyejin is patient, kind, very knowledgeable and knows how to scaffold learning gradually which is great for complete beginners like me. A wonderful communicator too who responds to queries etc promptly and fully. Highly recommended ️ ️️️️
