About Swagata

Hello! I’m Swagata and I graduated from Perth Modern School in 2015 with a 93.05 ATAR, and a placement in the highly regarded Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the ANU. I am currently completing a Law/Arts degree at Murdoch University. I would love to be able to pass on my knowledge of the curriculum, study skills, exam tips and my experiences of going through high school.

About the lesson

I want to make students feel comfortable and confident in what they’re learning, and I want them to achieve great results. I am passionate about the subjects I tutor, and have actively sought to work in those fields. As an example, as a student at the ANU, I won a coveted internship at the Federal Parliament for Senator Rachel Siewert’s offices. I believe that I can bring in a lot of practical experience, as such.

One of the most important things I will do as a tutor is make sure that every student’s learning style is accounted for. I understand that people learn and comprehend information in different ways and I can adapt my teaching style to ensure that all aspects of the curriculum are thoroughly understood. This also helps to make the lessons more fun and engaging!

I am familiar with the current ATAR curriculum and I am able to tutor students, so that they not only understand the material that they’re learning but also where they can get those hidden marks. I can positively make a difference to the student’s learning and successful completion of exams and assignments because I have done these things myself, and I know what it takes to succeed.

Through my tutoring service, students are free to email or message me at any time during the week with questions.

I live 20 minutes away from the Perth CBD, so I am available to meet students at my house, their house, or any public libraries that are convenient for them. I am currently available on all days of the week, and will do my best to accommodate busy students. I also hold a valid Working with Children check card.
