About Lydia

I am a classically trained cellist, but I am reaching out to all genres and possibilities of playing cello to expand my knowledge and experiences. I have undergone grading for all AMEB levels up to grade 8. I have played in orchestras for many years and believe that playing with others is a vital part to learning music and enjoying it. I have learnt from members of many Australian ensembles such as the ACO, SSO, SYO, and Acacia quartet. I want to continue this flow of knowledge to others who are seeking to learn.

About the lesson

My main goals in teaching music is to help students bring beautiful tone, confidence and sensitivity to their playing. I am passionate about working with students to establish the tools and techniques for a lifetime of successful and fun music making.

Lessons are between half an hour and one hour, depending on the students level and needs.

I have an AMEB grade 8 certificate. I have experience tutoring cello in various schools.

I provide lessons for anyone up to grade 7 level, at any age.
