About Jordan
I have been studying biology for about 15 years, starting as a general biology major at the University of Dayton. I then joined the cancer biology graduate program at the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where I earned my PhD in 2020. Since then, I have been working as a cancer research biologist at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During my time in both undergraduate and graduate school, I tutored students in biology.

In my experience, applying content to real life examples as a mnemonic device is the best way to remember and apply concepts, even when they’re difficult! My main goal in tutoring sessions is to bridge this gap to get you where you need to go!
I teach biology (general, molecular, cell) at any level through collegiate. In my lessons, we will start with the basics - talking about specific questions, setting goals, and putting these questions in context. After achieving a better understanding of the concepts, we will talk about how to translate it into terms that are easier to apply to similar problems moving forward. This repetition and application ensures a thorough understand of the concepts!
