I'm Tom, I live with my wife in Brunswick West and work in the field of statistics, and I enjoy helping students learn mathematics. Seeing students understand mathematical concepts and gain a high level, ideally a genuine mastery of, mathematical tasks, is rewarding, which gives me enjoyment in maths tutoring.

I believe maths is best mastered by doing maths problems oneself; however, in order to execute this task consistently and efficiently, the knowledge of how to do so must be learnt. I can impart this knowledge by communicating it effectively. This requires discerning a student's current understanding, so that deficiencies can be addressed.
