About Grace
I'm currently a second year economics major at Yale University who also is a part of the Education Studies program. I have experience tutoring macroeconomics at Yale and english, science, math, and sat prep to students of all ages. I am training to become a teacher, and have experiences working in education for 7 years that allow me to work smoothly with children of all abilities.
I enjoy tailoring concepts specifically to students own backgrounds and experiences. If they think in more mathematical ways, I will teach in math examples. If they understand concept better conceptually, we'll give more real world / application problems to help them better grasp the content. Not every child learns the same way, so adjusting
Graduated Valedictorian at my high school and currently attend Yale University. I am hired by Yale to tutor macro ecomomics and have tutored other children in my home town as well.

Have them send over what they're working before the session so I can familiarize myself with the material.
Begin the session by asking them what they're struggling with and what questions they have.
Go through questions, have student explain out loud to me how to solve a problem or the topic they're writing about. This helps the student see new perspectives that they haven't considered.
Then, fill in gaps, provide tips, and talk them through problems.
I have worked with young students, students with learning disabilities, and students from rough backgrounds which has given me very good communication skills that will be useful for all ages and subjects.
