About Jocelyn
I am a third year health science student passionate about childhood/adolescent development, and social determinants of health. I have four years of experience tutoring high school and elementary school students through an online learning platform. I am currently seeking an opportunity to gain further experience in teaching and aiding students in achieving academic success.

My passion for learning has always extended to my desire to excite and prepare students to tackle subjects they feel are daunting. I have always been driven to further confidence and self-efficacy in students, through academic subjects. My background in childhood and adolescent development is also important in understanding that patience, and ability to relate to students are crucial in tutoring sessions.
A first complimentary lesson includes analyzing the student's comfort level with the subject, learning style and academic goals. Using this information, personalized lesson plan tailored to the student will be created, including learning strategies, and detailed explanations of difficult topics.
