About Richard
Hey, i'm Richard! I'm a guitarist, vocalist and songwriter that's just moved up from Melbourne. I have been playing guitar for 20+ years, and have performed live with rock/metal bands for 10+ years.
Growing up I was always surrounded by music, both my parents are very talented musos who sing and play guitar. I first picked up a guitar at age 8, it wasn't until I got my first electric guitar at age 14 that I really started to take it seriously. In the last 10 years I've played in bands, written songs, recorded and played many shows.
I'm keen to help inspire some up and coming musos to get started on their guitar journey

Everyone has different goals when they learn guitar. My focus will be on your personal goals when it comes to learning guitar and we can build a lesson plan based around that. You won't have to suffer through weeks of repetive warm-ups and exercises before we actually get to playing the instrument.
if you're mostly interested in playing chords to learn some acoustic covers, then great we can dig deep into that. If you only want to learn riffs and tabs then we will cover more of that. it's also important to have a wide variety of playing techniques up your sleeve, so i'll cover everything, but it's up to you to decide what you think you'll use in the long run.
