About Chris
I'm Chris, an engineering student from Waterford, Ireland. During the Covid era, I ran a lot. As someone who was always the most unfit on my football team, I ran 4 marathons between 2020-2021 and lost 18kg. I found a passion for running, with this passion, I went out with my inexperienced friends and ran half marathons with them. Helping to achieve their goals. I have the same passion as I did then, for chess. I love helping people to discover their own passions, furthering their own skills. I truly believe there is no limit to what someone can achieve when they work hard.

When I was younger, I found chess to be quite interesting but intimidating, worried I would not be good enough to play.
But my love for the game came in 2022 as I wanted to challenge myself to learn a new skill.
As I began to play, I learned chess is an amazing game, one game different from the next. My passion for chess grew, I have made friends playing online and over the board. In 3 years, I reached 2100 rating on chess.com.
I have an immense enthusiasm for the game. I love teaching in a fun, enjoyable and more importantly educational manner.
