Hello, my name is Siobhan and I am excited to have joined Tutorhub! I am currently in my third year at Cardiff University Medical School.
I have enjoyed tutoring many people at varying academic levels both online and offline for several years.
I would like to tutor Biology and Maths up to GCSE level as I believe that my knowledge is strong on these subject and I very much enjoyed learning them during my time at school.
I will structure sessions according to what the student requires. If I believe that I will not do a fantastic job at ensuring the student gets the teaching that they are looking for, then I won't go forward with any further sessions.
I want to be able to help students understand concepts that they have previously struggled with, but I also think it paramount to teach good exam technique as lots of marks are gained during the exam by using the terminology that the examiner is looking for. Regardless of whether it is just a one-off session, I will provide advice as best I can on future revision timetables and tips for the student so that preparing for exams is not as much of a daunting prospect.
I believe that it very important to recognise that people learn differently and to accommodate accordingly. I think that I am resourceful, enthusiastic and can teach in a variety of different ways to suit individuals. Most importantly, I want to encourage people to enjoy Biology and Maths, and help them to get the grade that they are hoping for!
