Hello,

I am qualified Secondary School maths teacher, with 2 years experience teaching in a secondary school I have experience in teaching mixed abilities, from low level EAL classes to top set GCSE.
My method involves questioning students, ensuring they understand not only how, but why they are carrying out the steps, which allows students to apply reasoning and methods to other mathematical problems. I also adapt my teaching methods to the students preference/style of learning, e.g. some students prefer visual learning.

I have a Mathematics degree and a PGCE qualification. I am currently out of teaching and working in IT, although I now regularly tutor primary and secondary school children outside of work, all of which have significantly improved school grades and have an improved focus in the subject.
