About Patrick

Hello! I taught for many years in the UK and now live in France. I have taught the full range of prep school subjects at three different schools in the south of England.

I specialise in boosting my students' confidence and practising strategies that enable them to perform at their very best on the day of an examination.

Hello! I am a very experienced 11+ and 13+ tutor and educational consultant.

I am a qualified and experienced teacher, having taught for thirteen years in leading UK prep schools such as Junior King’s Canterbury, Trevor-Roberts London and St Hugh's Oxfordshire.

I make my online lessons stimulating and appropriately challenging and I reflect carefully on the ongoing needs of the student. I have successfully prepared many pupils for standard and scholarship entry to the top Day and Boarding schools in the UK.

I was most recently Deputy Head Academic at one of Africa’s leading British curriculum prep schools. I enjoy teaching students with a wide range of ability and experience, boosting their confidence and supporting or extending their learning where necessary. I am very experienced in 11+ and 13+ requirements as well as adopting various strategies with neurodiverse and SEN pupils.

I help parents with school choices, bursary applications, navigating the admissions process and how to prepare for interviews, references, entrance tests and taster days.

Before teaching I studied at Eton College and then read Modern Languages at Oxford University.

I am more than happy to meet for an initial chat online and discuss the student’s interests and requirements.
