About Sebastian

I’m a special pedagogue. I gained a lot of experience in social work, especially with blind people. Due to their unique way of experiencing the world, it’s important to adapt our language so we can help them to grasp easily their surroundings. Finally I found my harbor in teaching languages. Currently I’m working in a language school teaching German and English.

About the lesson

Hello!
I’m Sebastian from Germany, now living in Spain. I’d like to teach you my mother tongue starting from scratch or help you wherever you are. So how am I going to do this? The way I’m teaching has a lot to do with my own experience in learning languages: studying in school, travelling and living trilingual. All I want to say is that it’s not only a method but more a philosophy.

Being a pedagogue the following questions are essential to me as a teacher:
What do you want to learn? Do want to learn German because you’re interested in this language, do you want to travel or to get to know Germany or maybe you have to because of work?
Where are you? Which [official] level do you have? Do you start from scratch? You already know a lot, but you still have some doubts related to grammar or you just want to practice and improve the way to express yourself?
My class is fully personalized so it fits you and your interests. I’m using different materials and exercises of all kind, which are entertaining because in the end we want to enjoy the language, which gives us the opportunity to communicate ourselves and to get to know people from different cultures.

The second part of my method is self-learning. Often learning a new language happens without being in a country where people speak this language. Therefore it`s really important to have daily techniques and ideas to improve ourselves as best as possible. This is why I’d like to help you giving you tips and tricks so at one day you won`t need classes anymore.

I usually use Skype for the lessons, but I’m open to use different platforms. My schedule is really flexible and I’m happy to adapt it to your possibilities.
