About Diego
Being native speakers of a language, on its own, is not necessarily enough to be able to teach it - but it does offer unique services! Although I lack a DITALS for the time being (certification I plan on taking in the following months), I did study Italian Language and Literature for my Undergraduate Course in Rome, where I also took exams in teaching Italian as a second language. I mean, I do know at least a thing or two about my trade!! Learning languages on your own can also be disheartening at times, and a crucial part of my love for the English language derives from the teachers who stuck with me through that path: without them, I wouldn’t be where I am now. The stars are closer than you think, but we all need someone to teach us how to stretch our arm!

Hello there! (…General Kenobi!). I’m Diego, a 25 y.o. Postgraduate student at Glasgow Uni.
At times, English and Italian can be very different languages. From tips to extensive explanations, depending on your goals, my lessons will adapt to whatever level you might be aspiring to - from beginners to advanced. Similarly to English, you would need a native speaker to learn how words are meant to be read and pronounced - truly, though, and not in the robotic way Google translate does it. We’ll talk a lot, if you’re already at that level - if not, we’ll make sure to master the basics first, through exercises.
Naturally, the intensity of the lessons (at least 1 hr long) will depend on your goals, and the same goes with the content of the lessons themselves. For example, you’d hardly need a ver strong focus on written Italian, unless you needed it for Uni or school- in which case, let’s rock!
