I believe that every student can learn maths when it's taught in a way that clicks for them. My approach is patient, structured, and responsive; focused not just on solving problems, but on building real understanding and confidence.
I start by identifying where the student is at: what they’re confident with, and what’s holding them back. From there, I break down tricky concepts into clear, manageable steps, using visuals, analogies, and worked examples. I also explain why something works, not just how, because understanding the “why” leads to stronger memory and independent thinking.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace and needs:
-Some students benefit from repeated revision and hands-on practice.
-Others thrive with challenges, puzzles, and application tasks that push them to think deeper.
-For anxious or discouraged learners, I focus on small wins to rebuild their confidence.
