About Irene
"Strumming that first chord in my bedroom started a path that led to a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music at Griffith. The smell of old guitar cases and hot stage lights defines my career.
I teach lead guitar and chord transitions alongside tuning and maintenance. Scales and modes, rhythm guitar, and grade exam prep are key focus areas. Songwriting, barre chords, and blues progressions round out my toolkit. I know exactly how to get you playing better."

Maybe your fingers feel like lead when trying to switch chords smoothly. Actually, most people hit a wall with rhythm before they find their groove, so I use my 7 years of experience to simplify the process. Since graduating from the Queensland Conservatorium, I have found that creating custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home is the best way to build confidence. I enjoy seeing the moment everything finally clicks into place.
