About Berenick

I love talking, and talking about something I love makes it even better. It's like if you love sports or your pet and you get to talk about them to everyone or anyone that would put you on Cloud Nine. That is exactly the way I feel about Accounting and other subjects.

I believe communicating the importance of learning is what causes a mental shift, which in turn, helps you be more confident and, also leads to loads of smiles:)

I also have experience of working in the accounting profession, so I do have a degree of experience that I can transfer to my students.

I have studied at Stellenbosch and concluded my studies at the end of 2023, of which the graduation pictures came out 'on fleek'.I want my students to also experience the joy of stepping across the podium with big smiles and a greater degree of confidence, as well as the actual degree :)

My main reason for my interest, along with the above-mentioned, is because I love, in particular, accounting.I actually used to do accounting when I was feeling down, so I also want to communicate the beauty of accounting (economics and business). Also, the joy I feel to some degree :).

About the lesson

I believe learning is more important than 'studying'. It makes it much more enjoyable, AND translates to the transfer of skills, which makes us into a more well-rounded and rational person:)

I usually try to ensure the foundation of a student is laid, e.g., if we work on accounting equations first, focusing on the question of, WHY and how we can apply it in a practical sense.

And then progressing into understanding the more intricate details. I also emphasize the importance of seeing the beauty of a subject. For example, if I study economics, I am able to gain a better understanding of how the economy works, which also enables one to think rationally and, in turn, learn to trust yourself and the knowledge you have :)

I am proficient in accounting, business studies, and economics. I cum lauded my business and economics in high school, and I also cum lauded my accounting in my second year of university. I also teach economics and management sciences for any grade.

Language: English with a focus on Grades 8-12 and until university level(Year 1-3).

Expect alot of smiles and overexplaining, as I believe it is better to overexplain versus leaving a student with no basis, and I heard from a cool someone that wasting time is not an effective way to use time:)
