About Abdul Wasay
Hi! I’m Abdul Wasay, and at 16, I’ve achieved what many aim for. My exceptional Cambridge IGCSE results (6 A*s) allowed me to skip A Levels and Years 12 and 13, earning direct entry into the University of Otago’s Foundation Year with a scholarship. I graduated with Distinction (GPA 9.54/10) and received another scholarship for my next two years of study at university. I’m now progressing toward Medicine while staying active with badminton and outdoor activities. Enthusiastic and driven, I aim to share my knowledge and strategies so you can reach your full potential. If I could do it, so can you!

As a tutor, I focus on creating a calm, structured, and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident and supported. My teaching style is centered around deep understanding rather than memorization. I guide students through concepts step-by-step, using relatable examples and clear explanations to help them truly grasp the material. Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on the student’s needs and energy levels. I teach Cambridge IGCSE subjects, especially Science subjects, biology, chemistry and physics as well as and Math. My sessions are suitable for secondary school students aged 13–17 who are preparing for exams and/or need help catching up. I earned 6 A*s in my IGCSEs and was awarded a Distinction in my Foundation Year at the University of Otago (GPA 9.54/10), along with an academic scholarship. I’m currently studying at the University of Otago with the goal of entering Medicine, and I bring both strong academic skills and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. My goal is to make learning enjoyable and empowering for every student I work with.
