About Kashif

I’m a software developer with six years of professional experience and a Master's in IT from Charles Sturt University, where I received the Executive Dean’s Award and earned Distinctions or High Distinctions in 14 of 16 subjects. My Master's research project, a rehabilitation game for stroke patients, was published at an international conference, and I also hold an MBA, graduating in the top 5% of my class. Throughout my career, including leading a team that helped over 2,000 staff at the NSW Department of Education adapt to new technology, I’ve learned how to explain complex ideas clearly, patiently and in a way that makes sense to each person. I’m reliable, well prepared for every lesson, and genuinely committed to helping my students grow in confidence and achieve their goals.

About the lesson

In our first lesson, I’ll find out where you are and what you need, and ask for any school materials, such as textbooks, worksheets or assignments, so lessons match what you’re learning in class. If there aren’t any, I’ll create a personalised plan for you. I explain ideas step by step with simple language and everyday examples, then we practise together until you feel confident. Lessons are usually 60 minutes, with short practice tasks to keep progress steady. I hold a Masters in IT (Executive Dean’s Award) and have six years’ experience as a software developer, explaining technical ideas clearly to people of all backgrounds. My lessons suit primary and high school students, as well as teens and adults learning to code, at home in Canberra or online.
