About Akin
In the upcoming academic year I will be completing a postgraduate on the topic of Machine Learning in Science. Machine Learning is a branch in Computer Science that has seen tremendous growth over the last decade due to software and hardware advances. It captures the notion of teaching a machine to solve problems inherently too complex for humans to solve via ‘learning’ how to do so from data. I have tutored for just under a year and have always enjoyed share knowledge with people in the most effective way. Giving the student a clear picture of what applications the subject matter has in the real world certainly helps to cement the information.

This follows by an example in which, depending on the students capabilities, the rigour of the subject matter will begin to be built up. This is normally the stage of that ‘lightbulb’ moment for most of my students.
