About Max
I have been a volunteer science communicator at Questacon, The National Science and Technology Centre for 3 years. I've been a scout since I was 5, and have spent time learning how to teach skills and techniques to my peers. In total, I have tutored 5 people over the last 2 years, giving assistance on specific topics or areas. The people I have tutored have gone on to achieve a noticeable improvement in the areas focused on.

I believe that everyone is capable of learning, some people might just learn differently than others. Due to this, my view is that a personalised, flexible approach is needed for each student. This involves varying the topics covered to ensure that the time spent learning is spent on the areas most needed. I believe that having a better understanding of the underlying concepts is key to being able to tackle more complex ones.
