About Codie
Hi! I'm Codie. I am from the United States and just moved to Australia to pursue teaching! I am currently a casual relief teacher here in Australia but have taught students back home in the states as well. One question I get a lot is "Why Australia?" Well, when I was doing my student teaching, my mentor told me I should pursue teaching abroad, especially since I loved to travel. So... one thing led to the other and now I am here! Another question I get asked a lot is, "Why do you want to teach?" I knew that I wanted to be a teacher from a young age. I didn't know what I wanted to teach, but I just knew that I wanted to teach something. In high school, my history teacher really inspired me and that's when I chose what subject I'd like to teach. It only takes one teacher to make a difference. And that's what I'd like to do. I want to make a positive difference and share a passion for subjects in more creative ways to make learning fun and enjoyable!
