About Michael
I'm a high school graduate and I love to play and learn chess in my spare time. I consider myself a good player of chess and I have an online rating of 1300 and I've also gotten a small chess trophy(the trophy reads- 2015 LIDER School Winner of the chess Tournament) from 2015 as I won a school tournament at Russian school. I'm passionate about teaching beginners the basics of chess and how they can improve their game through time with lessons from me. I have a little teaching experience of teaching my brother the basics of chess and he has grown from an estimated 500 rated player to 1000, besides that I've never taught a private lesson but I've watched Grandmasters on Youtube teach which has given me a good understanding as to how to teach others that are just starting out and want to learn more about chess. I'm a kind person and I understand the frustration that can come with learning chess but with my open mindedness and passion about the game I'm able to answer any questions/concerns that a beginner may have about the game.

I think a basic understanding between the teacher and student is need to ensure a positive and beneficial lesson, as long as the students learns something from the time spend with me then I consider that a good lesson. I love interacting with kids/beginners as this comes natural to me and therefore makes me a great candidate as a tutor/teacher.
