About Soomin

I am a previous student that was struggling with math throughout my schooling career. After a certain point I applied myself more and began teaching myself. From doing basic arithmetic to doing harder and harder questions I believe I can become a great tutor for struggling students as I know what it takes to get from the bottom to the top. I am confident in my abilities to elevate students levels in math and most importantly make the process fun and enjoyable as I feel that is an important aspect that is overlooked. I can guarantee professionalism through my own teaching methods and curriculum and can also help with homework from school and help students get ahead in their math course and accelerate ahead of the rest of the class.

About the lesson

My teaching will dissect topics bit by bit and explain ideas so that they will be engrained in your long term memory. The typical lesson will be around an hour with around 30 minutes to explain the theory, then around 20 minutes going through questions applying the theory. The last 5-10 minutes will be reviewing what we have gone through that day and taking notes on everything covered on that day. Lastly I will be giving homework on the topic gone through on the day. My qualifications are a high school diploma from a selective high school with significant improvement in academic results over the years, graduating with good academic results. My math lessons can be applied for those in the k-12 level but in the year 11 and 12 course am only qualified to teach math advanced.

The lessons can be preferably held at the students place or at public libraries
