About Abigail
I am a high school senior and Georgia native passionate about school and education. I have a 4.13 weighted GPA and have scored fives on both of my AP tests (AP Human Geo. and AP World History). When it comes to scheduling, I offer both in-person and online lessons. I am available for online lessons on Wednesday evenings and Sundays, but I am only available for in-person lessons on Sundays.

Hi, I'm Abby, and I prefer to take a personal approach to tutoring! I ensure success with my students through providing a consult lesson in which I: -Evaluate the student's learning style -Ask about the student's strengths, weaknesses, and goals -Draft a learning plan tailored to the student's needs For a typical lesson plan, my favorite methods to use vary by subject, the student's learning style, and the student's age, but I typically gravitate to the following techniques: -Repetition: This works especially well for older kids in math or ELA class. It helps develop strong, solid habits that aim to become like second nature, allowing the student to build a reliable foundation in their skills -Flash Cards: These work especially well for all ages in all subjects. It helps to memorize things in the lesson, but it also provides the student with a resource to practice with in between lessons -Mnemonics: These are songs, rhymes, phrases, acronyms, images, or sentences used to help remember things. They help a student to memorize long or complex definitions/phrases I am willing to tutor all age groups as long as the class/subject they require help in falls within my skill set. I can tutor all elementary and middle school classes, and the high school classes I offer help in are listed below. I find myself to be most helpful in: -AP Human Geography -AP World History -Chemistry (does not include AP Chemistry) I also offer: -Freshman and Sophomore year ELA classes -Biology -Spanish 1, 2, and 3 -Algebra 1 and 2 -Geometry -Music Theory
