About Tristan
I am a conscientious student who has a genuine interest in mathematics developed from an early age. I moved to Adelaide to pursue an engineering degree at the university of my choosing to commence a career in Defence Science Technology. I moved to Australia from South Africa as a young child, and was brought up in a English speaking home in WA. From this I have learnt how to connect with others and communicate very effectively.
My aim is for the student and I to develop a mutually beneficial relationship in which we both realise our objectives in seeing them succeed in their mathematical studies.

My method involves both guided learning and tested overview approach. Initially I have the student do a base line test to determine for myself what areas require focussing on. With this information, I design a plan based on the curriculum for the individual student and prioritise the most important areas that enhance their abilities to achieve the course learning outcomes.
I require homework provided at the end of each session to be completed before the next. Typical lesson duration is recommended for 1 to 2 hours. My 1 hour introductory lesson is free in which I get to know the student and resolve an mathematical concern to deliver an immediate outcome and demonstrate my tutoring skill.
