About Stephen
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts from two parents immigrating from the Soviet Union. As a child I was always inspired by constantly learning and gaining new knowledge. I speak 3 languages including English, French, and Russian. I also have more of a decade of experience with chess having many grandmasters teaching me, which helped me have a wide range of experience and knowledge from those different grandmasters.

My teaching method is building a fundamental and stable base for beginners, for them to kick off their learning journey.
A typical lesson plan in Russian includes learning the alphabet, simple words/phrases and then diving into simple grammatics
A typical plan in chess includes learning where the pieces are, how they move, and simple tactics and strategy after.
Having two Armenian parents from the soviet union they have fluently taught me Russian from when I was a baby, it is my native language and my first language. I speak it actively on a day to day basis and am happy to help other people learn the important language. I have more than a decade of experience learning and playing chess, I have participated in many chess tournaments and have been taught from grandmasters.
The lessons are aimed for beginners in Russian or chess ranging from any age, as it is never too late to learn these important skills.
