About Olivia

Hello! I'm Olivia, and I'm a high school student in WA.

I'm currently a junior in High School, and I'm in Pre-Calculus and will be continuing onto AP Calculus next year. I currently have a GPA of 4.0 (unweighted) in my classes, and I scored a 710 on the math section of my SAT.

As someone who is still in school and learning, I believe that I, as a student understand how other students learn best and some of the issues often faced by students when learning new topics, especially in math. Because of this, I've decided to start tutoring to help students struggling in math!

About the lesson

My lessons are usually structured in a way that allows for students to think for themselves and truly understand concepts and ideas, so I prefer not to just give the answer, but rather guide them one-on-one trhough a problem.

A typical lesson plan for me would be an overall lesson on our topic, then mainly a lot of practice problems, since I think for math, that's the best way to get used to and learn how to really do the math. After the practice problems, there might be like a quick review quiz that will review what we learned in this lesson, but maybe a little of the previous one to ensure memory of previous topics.

My lessons are most best suited for middle to high school students, but I can also teach basic math to elementary students as well.
