About Ishi

I’m a high school student currently in grade 11 and I’m taking grade 12 science and math courses. I have been tutoring kids my age and younger for as long as I can remember in my own school as well as at home with my mom who used to be a teacher as well. So I have plenty of experience working with kids and I have also been tutoring a bunch of kids in math with super prof for a while now. I’m a really enthusiastic person and I’m also very patient, I find that as teachers often time professors tend to skip a lot of explanations during lectures because they find it unnecessary because of their advancement in the subject. However as a student myself I feel I am better able to understand a student and go through all the concepts and explanations in a patient and simple manner so that it isn’t confusing to them! About the lesson

Because I’m a high school student I understand how kids think and what concepts might create questions and might seem confusing to them. Because of this understanding I am able to explain topics in a very simple and easy manner in order for the kid to pick it up easily! A lesson with me would usually include: - going through current concepts in your school -understanding from the student what they have grasped about the topic so far - explaining any confusions and ideas again in a different manner in order to approach any confusion -revision of all the topics covered This is a basic outline of a lesson but every kid is different and what a lesson looks like may differ from child to child depending on their needs and topics! I love working with children and I can’t wait to meet you and talk science with you!
