About George
I have achieved Distinction in Grade 8 Jazz Piano and have obtained an A* in A Level Music. I have played in a variety of bands and ensembles in concerts, pubs and venues in the South West and across the country.
Some of my happiest memories growing up was the time I spent learning the piano, both with my piano tutors and practising alone.
Learning the piano can be difficult and at times, you just feel like you want to give up. Believe me, I have been there! But the most important factor for me during those tough times was to have a supportive tutor by your side willing you on.
I am a firm believer in helping everyone to learn at their own pace. Do not feel as though you have to rush anything. However, when and where you can, it will be important to practise between lessons. That is why I will provide you with lesson notes and practice objectives at the end of every lesson so that you can make as much progress as possible.
As your piano playing abilities develop, you will discover which types of music you enjoy playing the most. For me, after completing Grade 3, I decided that I only wanted to play only jazz music and so that was what my tutor did for me! Whether it is Beethoven, Scott Joplin or Oasis, I will tailor our lessons to fit what you want to learn.
