Currently I am working as Head of Dept at a school in Birmingham and I have 5+ years experience teaching in Computer Science, Computer Programming and ICT which ranges from GCSE - A-Level Standard. I have taught in various challenging schools in the West Midlands. My aim is to remove any barriers to ensure that students are able to make progress quickly. My online teaching approach is to ensure that all learners are supported with appropriate differentiation which is provided with the right level of stretch and challenge in order to move learning forward so pupils are making progress. I am a firm believer that as a teacher, we need to remove any barriers to students' learning as this key action will allow all students to make progress. Due to my experience, I have had great success with removing said barriers and ensuring all students make progress.

I was struggling with my computer science knowledge and my teacher wasn’t explaining it properly. With the help of Mr Finch I understood everything I needed to know. Mr Finch helped me pass my GCSE and get a higher grade than what my teachers predicted. He always asked if I understood the content before moving into the next topic. If I didn’t he would explain it in a different way. Could not recommend him enough !!!!!
