About Julie
I have been teaching for all my adult life. I have three sons and a dog and a cat. I have taught students aged from 5 years old through to year 6. I love all aspects of literacy—reading, writing and spelling. I also have a great love of children’s books. My favorite story is The Gruffalo. I also love poetry—both reading and writing poetry and teaching students how to write their own poems. I also enjoy music and singing! Learning through singing and rhyme is a wonderful way to learn!

I use a hands-on approach—concrete materials, lots of exciting games and resources that will encourage students to learn, resources that are for individual needs. I like to find out how each student learns and I will ensure that lessons are planned to cater for individual differences. I like to make learning fun.
