About Thaya
I have been a maths tutor for 20 years now. I believe everyone can be successful in maths if given the right guidance. I take an individual tailored approach to each learner, based on their personality, learning style and needs. I use a variety of diagnostic tools during the first few sessions to learn about the gaps in the tutees maths knowledge. I am also very aware that low confidence is often a barrier to maths learning. I embed a variety of engaging tasks and teaching strategies that promote confidence as well as retention. This usually leads to very good results.
I`ve helped students at all levels and believe in really getting to know what students need help with, then bringing great lesson plans and carefully chosen past paper questions to boost students` confidence and build a path to doing well in exams.
