About Duey

I have been running a successful photography and videography business for over 6 years working with some of Sydney's top leading corporate companies and high level ranking social media influencers.

Alongside, I have run workshops and trained several of my own staff members to deliver a high standard service for all sorts of jobs whether they are low hanging fruit or high ticket sales.

I was blessed to start off my professional journey with Mercedes Benz in Alexandria to create marketing material and this opened several doors for me to break into the industry. This lead me on a journey of relentlessly mastering the craft and being able to work with clients that I would have never believed to be possible. I've done my fair share of blood, sweat and tears in regards to creating my own business for myself from scratch with all the creative skills I have cultured and refined over the years with my camera. Campaigns from store to store was the first few years of my career which lead to creating marketable content that is required for advertisers to generate a healthy return on investment. If you would like to see a list of clientele that I have worked with over the years I guarantee you that you won't find a better mentor or coach.

What I can teach you is how to do the same thing, to turn your passion into your lifestyle and it all starts with the three major keys to the right lighting; Apeture, ISO and shutter speed. This is the first lesson you have to nail, to be quick on your feet and to assess your environment in less than 30 seconds.

Whether you want to casually be a creative and grow your personal branding or become a corporate plug in for marketing campaigns I have a large gallery to show you how I did it and how you can too!

About the lesson

We start with the fundamentals. Firstly you must understand what a camera is with a quick history lesson on it's technological advancement from film to today, then we put the theory into practice. Once you become adapted to the knowledge behind how cameras work we can now move forward and practice how to achieve the right lighting.

I will assign all students with assignments that focuses on the extremities of what a camera can do to allow you to envision the world in your mind through the lens. This is a crucial skillset that must be developed to be able to consult with your clients with what they want or the concept that your project requires.

In a nutshell it will be a theory then practical format and we will progress chronologically from mastering the craft then turning it into a living.
