About Benjamin
After finishing a Degree in History of Art I worked in a gallery. Here I gave educational tours to groups of all ages. I moved into Primary and Secondary teaching shortly after this before finding my current position as a Further education teacher.
I am currently undertaking a Masters at UCL.
My key skills are in essay writing, research, written & visual analysis and critical thinking. They are essential in the subject of History of Art but also in every Humanities discipline.

Lessons are structured around relevant grading criteria (up to Degree level). I will ensure the student is able to meet the highest standard of the grading criteria for their particular level of study.
I illustrate the students' tasks using an eclectic variety of examples and sources, from historical artefacts to modern literature. In the past I have used gallery visits and given professional tours to provoke a critical response.
The student will develop their skills and gain confidence in their ability to succeed in education. These lessons are great preparation for entering a higher level of study.
Lessons run for one hour.
I have worked in Primary, Secondary and Further education. I have taught students in groups and one-to-one.
