About Megan
I have a genuine passion for teaching and love the subjects I cover. I had some amazing teachers especially in secondary school who really inspired me to pursue a path which I never imagined would be possible - attending Oxford University!
I have been lucky enough to mentor a number of students over the past 2 years and have realised how rewarding it is to improve the confidence of other aspirational students with goals of their own.
I have had a vast amount of positive feedback from both students and parents on the engagement of pupils in my classes.

My two years of teaching experience means I have developed multiple strategies and approaches to ensure the lessons I deliver are targeted and engaging.
The online virtual sessions I plan and deliver target a range of skill sets required of year 11s for their GCSEs including: content building, exam techniques, recalling of information, spaced repetition, associated learning and knowledge on how to revise. All content is delivered and tailored to individual students and their target areas to hit the required level of difficulty for improvement.
An example lesson would target the four areas of theoretical learning: spaced repetition through starter activities testing previous knowledge, active recall by asking scaffolding questions, ensuring the difficulty is correct with new knowledge and associating content/making connections to help memorise the topic.
Typically my lessons are 60-90 minutes depending on the age of the pupil and target areas.
