About Craig
Craig is a skilled and fully qualified languages teacher with a BA Hons degree in Italian, Spanish and French and a PGCE and CELTA for teaching languages. Craig has spent time living, studying and working in various countries including Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Portugal.
Craig has a solid knowledge of the languages he teaches: Spanish, Italian, French & Greek but due to an avid passion for learning languages, he has also studied (and still studies) many other languages to various degrees from Finnish, Turkish, Croatian, Portuguese and Norwegian to more exotic languages such as Swahili, Bengali, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese & Indonesian.
Studying these languages has given Craig an insight into the various approaches to language learning and the methods that work best for reaching a good level. Craig has been teaching since 2006 and teaching languages privately in the UK since 2009 and he is still constantly learning new languages.
Craig is also DBS (previously CRB) checked.

I use a 'step by step" approach which gradually gets you building your own sentences so that you don't just speak like a phrase book but can have proper conversations with people. The course I use to teach people with has been designed by myself drawing on my knowledge of learning other languages and the methods which have worked with for me and for other students.
I also use a mix of other materials all which range from articles, exercises, real native people speaking about various topics, exam materials, books, magazines and much more.
My teaching style also reflects some of the methods learnt whilst training to be a teacher and from working in various language schools.

Details
My hourly rate is based on my qualifications and my 15 years teaching experience. I do offer a better rate if a block of lessons is booked and paid for in advance. I do also charge for travel in some situations if students require me to travel to their house. There is naturally no extra charge if students come to my house for lessons.
